EXPECT rush-hour delays in Trowbridge after a crash late this afternoon caused the closure of County Way.
The collision, involving a car and a motorcycle, happened just after 4pm this afternoon.
Police and paramedics attended and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance was scrambled to attend to the injured biker.
Traffic is very heavy and Wiltshire Police are advising drivers to avoid the area after intitally closing County Road in both directions, before partially reopening the carriageways.
A spokesman said: “We were called at 4.10pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on the dual carriageway near Tesco Extra, Trowbridge.
“The air ambulance attended the scene as it was initially thought the motorcyclist had sustained serious injuries. However, it is not believed the motorcyclists injuries are as serious as first thought.
“Drivers should avoid the area during rush hour if possible, while the scene is made safe.”
