PANTO star Ryan Thomas has found his perfect haven in Swindon while he plays the role of Prince Charming in Cinderella at the town’s Wyvern Theatre.
The 32-year-old, best known for his role as Jason Grimshaw in ever popular soap Coronation Street, has proved a big draw with 85 per cent of tickets for the six-week run already sold.
With so much interest surrounding him – particularly at a time when his brother Adam was one of the star’s in the popular television series I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! – he’s chosen a new local business to provide his accommodation.
Instead of staying in a hotel he’s opted for a high quality self-catering apartment run by Hamilton Grace Serviced Apartments, a newly-launched company run by managing director Clare Fuller.
Clare said: “I cannot tell you how excited my team and I were when Ryan showed an interest in staying with us. It’s such early days for our business and to get this opportunity is beyond belief.
“Ryan is such a lovely, genuine man and we all hope he enjoys his time in the town. ”
Cinderella opens on Saturday, December 10, and runs until Sunday, January 8, and rehearsals are now underway.
Ryan said: “It is really important to me to enjoy where I am living and I couldn’t be happier staying at a Hamilton Grace apartment. Clare truly has been my Fairy Godmother!
“The apartment is warm, spacious and very modern with everything I need.
“With such a busy timetable, it’s great to know I’ve got a ‘home from home’ where I can relax at the end of a long day in Pantoland.”
Derek Aldridge, director of the Wyvern Theatre said: “I am delighted Hamilton Grace are offering such high quality self catering apartments so close to the theatre. Our performers and creative teams are going to love staying there.
“It can be a real challenge finding somewhere of high quality which is affordable but within easy access of the theatre.”
