ROBERT Buckland MP has announced the winners of his Christmas card competition.
In October, Robert asked primary school pupils in his South Swindon constituency to design his parliamentary Christmas card.
“I was delighted to receive so many fantastic designs this year and it took me quite some time to choose a winner,” he said.
“I would like to thank all of the talented children who took part in the competition.’’
Avisha Singh, who attends Lainesmead Primary School, was awarded first prize for her Father Christmas chimney design.
Runners-up were Michelle Hajnalka from Holy Family Catholic Primary School with her Robin design, Fred Rowland from Tregoze Primary with a Rudolph design, Jessica Kyle-Ayres from King William Street Church of England Primary School with a Nativity design and Csenge Varga from Tregoze Primary School with a Westminster design.
All of the winning designs were professionally printed and used as Robert’s Christmas card for this year.
The cards have been sent to many businesses, public sector organisations, schools, charities and community organisations and to councillors, MPs and ministers.
