THE brilliant Emergency Services Show is one of THE must-see events on the Wiltshire calendar – and we’re giving away a very special VIP package to celebrate the event’s tenth anniversary.
The 2015 show is being held on Sunday September 13 at Hullavington airfield.
Thousands are expected to attend the event, but you can have pride of place with a VIP pass for a group of four (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult), including free entry to the show, designated VIP parking and a ride in a police car and a fire engine for each person in the group.
To be in with a chance of winning this prize, make sure you follow/like both Index:Wiltshire and the Emergency Services Show on Twitter (Index, EMS) or Facebook (Index, EMS) and retweet/share this post.
A winner will be drawn at random. Closing date for entries is noon on Tuesday September 1.
ABOUT THE SHOW
The Show is organised by volunteers drawn from Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service, amongst others, and more than £115,000 has been donated since 2005 to charities that support the work of the emergency services.
Last year’s show was a record year with more money being raised for charity than ever before. In April organisers of the show presented cheques totalling £30,000 to charities and organisations.
This year’s anniversary show – with sponsors including Vodafone, The Grist Group of Companies’, Forces War Records and Primetech – is being held between 10am-4pm on Sunday September 13 at Hullavington airfield, just off J17 of the M4, and the website www.emergencyservicesshow.com is now open for ticket sales and trader registrations.
As well as becoming a charity, the show has taken a significant step forward this year in how it manages its visitors. For the first time, there is e-ticketing, allowing people to buy their tickets in advance and then use a ‘fast track’ gate on the day. In addition, savings can be made buying a family ticket, which will only be available online.
Tickets are priced at £6.50 per adult, £3.50 per child (under threes go free) and can be purchased in advance at www.emergencyservicesshow.com or on the gate.
Amongst the attractions already planned for this year’s show are police dog displays, air ambulance displays, cooker fire demonstrations, fire engine and police car rides, new and vintage emergency vehicles, a fun fair and much more!
