A WOMAN has been killed in a serious crash involving a coach and three cars on the A346 Swindon to Marlborough road.
All three emergency services and the air ambulance are currently at the scene near Ogbourne St George.
The cars involved are a BMW, Vauxhall Astra and a Mazda. The coach is believed to be from Swindon-based Barnes Coaches.
One female driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is blocked in both ways from Marlborough Golf Club to Chiseldon and diversions are in place.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “Wiltshire Police are currently attending a fatal collision on the A346 near Ogbourne St George.
“We were called to the incident at 1.45pm; four vehicles were involved – three cars and a coach.
“The woman driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene at just after 3pm.
“The road is closed both ways, diversions are in place.
“Fire and ambulance are also in attendance.”
“The road is blocked in both ways so drivers should avoid the area for the next few hours. The road is closed between Marlborough and Chiseldon and there are diversions in place at both ends.”
It’s the second time in little over three weeks that a serious crash has happened on the stretch of road.
On February 9, two women were injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a tree.
