28-year-old arrested as brutal Warminster attack leaves teen with shattered jaw


WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of GBH in Warminster.

At approximately 2.40am on Sunday 19 June 2016, a 19-year-old local man was assaulted in Weymouth Street by a male, who punched him.

As a result of the attack, he sustained a fractured jaw in two places which had to be pinned and plated.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on bail pending further enquiries.

DC Justine Parsons, of Central CID, based at Trowbridge Police Station, said: “This was a nasty attack which left a young man requiring hospital treatment for a fractured jaw.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the K S Bar in Weymouth Street on the evening of Saturday 18 June into the early hours of Sunday morning.

“We’d also like to hear from any witnesses to the incident itself – please get in touch. Any information you have, no matter how small, may be crucial to our investigation.”
