ENTREPRENEUR Andy Morton-Holmes has launched a new networking venture combining business with sport.

The 36-year-old from Swindon has wanted to offer high quality networking opportunities for fellow entrepreneurs who enjoy sport, but without annual fees for monthly subscriptions.

He said: “I wanted to create something a little different where like-minded business people can mix business with a love of sport, meeting and greeting their peers in an informal atmosphere.”

The inaugural event kicks off at the Swindon Town Football Club’s ground on Saturday, January 21, 2017 for an hour of networking; a two course lunch in the hospitality suite; and an opportunity to mingle with some of the sponsors of Swindon Town Football Club.

After a two-course lunch in the hospitality suite, guests can enjoy the game together – Swindon Town v Peterborough.

This will be the first of four meetings to be held at the football ground, alternating the Saturday lunch meeting with a Tuesday supper evening to coincide with home games.

Andy said: “There are no subscriptions to Business-United networking. Those interested can book our monthly meetings, event by event.

“It’s a move away from structured networking to something more relaxed and pleasurable – particularly appealing to business people who are also sports fans.

“Once the football season is over we’ll be gathering at a variety of different venues and are currently considering Cheltenham Racecourse and Cirencester Polo Ground as possible destinations.”

Andy, a former pupil of Highworth Warneford School and Swindon College, has been a life-long sports fan. He even played semi-professional ice hockey for the Swindon Wildcats before injuries forced him to retire.

He’s run his own businesses for a number of years including importing products from Bulgaria and running a Wiltshire sweet shop.

Early Bird Tickets for the first Business-United event costs £60 and are available from www.business-united.co.uk
