Boy, 11, and teenager bitten in separate Wiltshire dog attacks

Police are appealing for witnessses to a Christmas Eve attack on a woman in front of her children

POLICE are investigating reports of two dog attacks in the Pewsey and Marlborough areas.

The most recent incident happened on Tuesday, February 23, as an 11-year-old boy made his way to school along Wilcot Road, Pewsey, at 8.50am.

The boy was on his scooter when a dog ran out and bit him on the left leg.

The dog is described as black, medium sized with a white flash on his front. The breed is unknown.

The boy did not require medical treatment and the bite left no visible injury.

On the previous Wednesday, February 17, an 18-year-old woman was in Bedwyn Common, Marlborough, when she was bitten by a dog that was off its lead.

The dog was described as being large, dark brown, slightly bigger than a Labrador and was being walked by a white woman, aged approximately 45, with long brown hair.

The owner was present at the time, but some distance away from the dog.
