Westbury care boss takes birthday leap for Dorothy House

ANNE Pelling, founder of Wiltshire care company Butterfly, celebrated her 50th birthday by jumping out of a plane to raise cash for a local charity.

She overcame her fear and completed a skydive over the weekend and has so far raised more than £800 for for Dorothy House Hospice.

Anne said: “It was the most amazing and awesome experience. I did it and live to tell the tale! I’d like to thank everyone who has sponsored me and I’m aiming to raise £1,000 in all.”

Anne, who lives in Dilton Marsh, Wiltshire, received the gift of a sky dive from her children Ben and Hannah. She decided to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice as it’s the charity for 2016 chosen by her team in Bath and Wiltshire.

The skydive is the first of several events planned by the Butterfly team of 73, who work from two offices – in Westbury, Wiltshire and in Odd Down, Bath. Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so here – http://bit.ly/1QPxIQw

Butterfly was set up eight years ago by Anne who had a long and distinguished career as a carer. The company expanded into Wiltshire in 2013, and has a reputation for best practice in home care. For further information visit http://www.butterflyhomehelp.com.
