Police are appealing for witnessses to a Christmas Eve attack on a woman in front of her children

POLICE want anyone who filmed an attack on a woman, who was with her young children, on Christmas Eve to contact them.

What is described as a physical and verbal assault took place on the woman at Bradon Court, Penhill Drive, Swindon, at about 4pm.

There was what’s believed to be an unprovoked assault on the woman, outside the newsagent and chip shop, after a minor traffic incident involving the victim and another vehicle.

She was with her young children at the time.

PC Thomas Gregory said: “It’s thought there were a number of people at the nearby cash point and in the chip shop at the time and also that two passers-by may have filmed the incident on their mobile phones.

“If that was you, please come forward to help with our investigation.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Thomas Gregory on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.  He can be emailed at 1999@wiltshire.pnn.police.uk
