Man wounded, two arrested as shots are fired on Partridge Way, Salisbury

Police are appealing for witnesses

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Salisbury at the weekend.

At approximately 6.45pm on Saturday 23 July, we received a report of an assault in Partridge Way.

A 27-year-old local man sustained several small puncture wounds as a result of being hit by what are believed to be ball bearings.

It is believed that the victim and suspects were known to each other and that this was an isolated incident.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a firearm (ball bearing air weapon) and a 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Both have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101 immediately, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if preferred.
