Police plea for witnesses after Cavendish Square incident

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an incident which resulted in a woman being flown to hospital by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

It is believed that a woman walking a dog was hurt when she was hit by a car in Cavendish Square, Park South, Swindon today before 9am.

Police, South Western Ambulance Service paramedics and Wiltshire Air Ambulance were at the scene this morning.

It is believed she was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, for treatment.

One woman who lives nearby said: “I really hope she’s OK – the car park is dangerous as there aren’t enough markings.”
