Raiders smash through front of Corsham Co-op in early-hours burglary


WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for information after burglars smashed their way into a Corsham store through the front window.

Officers were called in the early hours of this morning following the raid on the Co-operative shop in Martingate.

Three men, all in black, were spotted at the scene.

A police spokesman said: “We received a call at 4.13am this morning after an alarm was activated at the Co-operative store in Martingate, Corsham following a burglary.

“The front window of the store was smashed and cigarette machines inside were targeted.

“It is believed a dark coloured saloon type vehicle with three males inside was involved in the burglary.

“The men were all wearing black clothing.

“Anyone who heard or saw any suspicious activity in the area should call police on 101.”
