Naturally Social, the Wiltshire-based social media company which provides social media management, mentoring and training workshops has been named in a national list of top businesses.

The Small Biz 100 is part of a national initiative, Small Business Saturday, a grass roots non-commercial campaign encouraging people to shop local – particularly at Christmas – and culminates this year on Saturday, December 2, nationwide and this year Naturally Social has been named one of the 100.

Founder and managing director Natalie Sherman said: “To be picked as one of  this year’s 100 makes me so proud of what I’ve achieved in the last couple of years. In a way it’s validation too – I have a good business and what I offer means something.

“I actually applied last year but wasn’t successful which made me even more determined! I hope I inspire someone to do the same next year.”

Each year thousands of SMEs from across the UK apply to be one of the featured businesses in the campaign in the 100 days running up to Small Business Saturday. Naturally Social was named one of the those 100 – and will be featured as part of the campaign on Saturday, October 28.

Natalie said: “I’ve grown as a person and a business in the last 12 months and have continued to work with more and more clients.

“I’m really clear on what I have to offer and the value that brings and I’m really passionate about the amount of opportunities social media offers businesses, individuals and organisations, in any sector. In my application I evidenced the ways in which I support other small businesses – some of which are in a voluntary capacity.”

Natalie set up Naturally Social in 2015 after working in local government for eight years and for more than three years she a social media manager.

She also well known in the county for organising regular Wiltshire ‘Tweet Ups” – face-to-face social events for those in the county who are active on the Twitter social media platform.

Natalie said: “So many people are doing social media badly because they forget the core fundamentals of why social media developed and how it is being used by their customer.

“I recommend losing the hard sell and remembering people buy from people.”
