COUPLES who are planning to tie the knot are being invited to an event which will showcase everything they need for their big day.
Swindon Register Office’s first ever wedding fayre on Sunday, 7 February 2016 is the ideal opportunity for prospective brides and grooms to tour the Register Office facilities, meet the friendly and experienced team of staff, and talk to a number of local businesses supplying wedding-related services.
Every couple that attends will be given a free glass of bubbly on arrival before they browse the many stalls on offer.
The event, at the Civic Offices in Euclid Street, will take place between 11am and 3pm and there will also be the chance to win a free wedding ceremony at the Register Office’s Garden Room.
As an added bonus, a wedding fashion show will also be taking place in the Council Chamber during the event.
The Register Office has a choice of three ceremony rooms which can accommodate up to 85 guests, along with an attractive outdoor area for those all-important photographs.
Mamie Beasant, Superintendent Registrar, said: “I am delighted to open our doors for people to come and have a look at the excellent facilities we have available for marriage ceremonies.
“I am also excited that a variety of local businesses will be joining us to show how they can help make your wedding day really special.”
